Multi-faceted ERIC CHUN is a musician, producer, arist, and the creative genius behind the Northern California-based company, CREATIVE MUSIC SERVICES. As one of the music industry’s most highly versatile talents, Eric is an accomplished expert in all areas of music production, creation, performance, and education.

In a music career that spans over 4 decades since he was 5, Eric Chun’s success showcases the powerful combination of his extraordinary talent as a musician and creative magic as a composer/producer. He has written for film as well as national television and cable, with music on shows such as Nash Bridges, The Young and the Restless, Guiding Light, King of the Hill, Maggie Winters, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, Black Xmas, and many more. Eric continues to produce, record, and perform music on albums for a diverse array of clients including international artist Jun Makino, Mastersource, Jim Miller Films, Marc Cooper, Auburn Drumline, Roland Smith, NFE Records and Mozambique Records, among others.

Eric's background and experience as a performing artist has given him a fresh approach to musical sound design, combining unique elements of woodwinds, keyboards, percussion, mallets, and voice all in one giant "pit". At the same time, new musical expression retains that hook, verse, and "perfect chorus". A multi-talented musician and vocalist, he has performed with a myriad of industry players and artists, among them, Roger Williams, Florence Henderson, Pearl Heart, Sandy and Cindy Acker, Kevin Sharp, Vera Daehlin, Burbank Symphony, Ed Lojeski, Ira Nepus, Tom Scott, Jerry Steinholtz, Rob Carson, MB Gordy, Ronnie Kauffmann, John Bergamo, Danny Vicari, Graham Lear, Marc Cooper, Tony Saunders, Roberta Donnay, Marcus Barone, Jun Makino, Simon Wright, Brad Rabuchin, Taras Predonik, Carrie Snow, Bob Rapson, Mark Hill, and many more. As an actor, TV/film include The Joy Luck Club, The Rightous Apples TV PBS series, commercials and voice overs. He currently heads two Northern California music ensembles, the versatile group "Wild Duck" multi styles, vocals, and sounds, and The Auburn Drumline, a unique combination of world percussion, drumline, vocals, and keyboards in all music and global styles.

Through his company, CREATIVE MUSIC SERVICES, Eric offers a full range of audio production, songwriting, limited management, artist development, and industry education.

Eric is recognized as one of the leaders in Northern California for his music industry program at American River College, a degree founded by him in 1990. The degree includes a full complement of music industry business and recording courses, a state of the art recording studio, songwriting, midi, live sound, and internship. In addition he is the faculty advisor for the nationally recognized AES student section. He also hosts the Creative Music Industry Master Class Series with guest speakers such as Marcus Barone, John Rotundi, Leslie Ann Jones, Larry Bastiste, Larry Dee, Mark Hill, Danny Vicari, Simon Wright, Wendall Yuponce, Tom Scott, Ira Nepus, Jerry Steinholtz, Ron McMaster, Marc Cooper, Tim Sweeny, Joel Jaffee, Roberta Donnay, H.Richard Etlinger, Jonathon Moffat, Andre Pessis, Sandy Cressman, and many more. He is currently co-developing 8 year old Kyron Kirby, a multi talented percussionist, drummer, vocalist, keyboardist, and producer. Kyron has already performed with the likes of Phillip Bailey and Earth, Wind & Fire.

Eric continues to foster music awareness, industry education, innovative creation, and growth for the music communities in Northern California. He is currently secretary and board member for the San Francisco chapter of The Recording Academy. He also co-chairs the membership committee and sits on the P and E Wing committee. Eric also is on the board of directors for NFE Records in Tustin, California with Mark Hill CEO, and works with the current roster of AC artist Steely, young sensations Taja, & LA heavy hitters, Rayzing Sons. He is an active board member for West Coast Songwriters in specialty marketing, and sits on the advisory board for the Sacramento office of California Lawyers for the Arts. If that were not enough he also is coordinating the unique ensemble of songwriters and catalog development for Writers Addiction Coalition. Eric continues album tracking for new albums with Marc Cooper, emerging "hard rock" sensation Death N Revenge, Mastersource, CMS Percussion catalog, Arturo Sanchez Jr. projects, indy film producer Kyle Kramer, video director Jessica Lehr, Auburn Drumline, and NFE Records album and film music. His current endorsements include Remo, Vic Firth Sticks, Drum Workshop, Sabian, FurmanSound, Factory Metal Percussion, Shure Microphones, Bag End Loudspeakers, and Auralex Acoustics. He is a member of ASCAP, SAG, AFTRA, AES, & The Recording Academy.
